Monkey Island - Koh Ped on the chart - is a small island south of Pattaya, close to the Sattahip coast. It takes its everyday name from the troop of macaques that live along the shore and are usually visible from the water. It is a short, close-in stop rather than a full destination, which is why it normally appears as one leg of a coastal charter rather than a trip on its own; our published Monkey Island route departs from Ocean Marina and lists a minimum charter of four hours. The monkeys are wild animals, so sightings are never guaranteed and feeding or approaching them is not appropriate.
