Why charter in Koh Phai
Koh Phai - often called Bamboo Island - sits considerably further offshore than Koh Larn, at the centre of a small group that also includes Koh Man Wichai, Koh Hu Chang and Koh Klung Badan. The extra distance from the mainland is the reason the water here is usually clearer than in Pattaya Bay, and the group is a long-standing favourite for snorkelling. The islands are under Royal Thai Navy administration, so going ashore is controlled and is not always permitted. Because of the distance, Koh Phai is a full-day destination rather than a half-day one, and the crossing is more exposed than the inner islands.

- Why is the water clearer at Koh Phai?
- The group lies well offshore, away from the mainland runoff and boat traffic that affect visibility closer to Pattaya.
- Can we land on the island?
- The Koh Phai group is administered by the Royal Thai Navy and access ashore is controlled, so landing cannot be promised.
- Is this a half-day trip?
- No. The distance means Koh Phai is normally visited on a full-day charter.
- What if the sea is rough?
- The crossing is more exposed than the inner islands, so the captain may change the route to a sheltered destination for safety.
