Koh Kharm sits off the Sattahip coast, south of Pattaya, and is part of the naval area that covers much of this stretch of water. The island group includes Koh Kharm Yai and the smaller Koh Kharm Noi, which our published sailing route calls at. Because the area is protected and navy-administered, it has stayed largely undeveloped and access ashore is controlled - it may be restricted or closed at short notice, including for conservation reasons. Charters heading this way cruise south past Bang Saray and typically take in more than one stop along the coast.
