Safety Policy
Yacht Today Thailand is committed to promoting safe and responsible yacht charter experiences.
All guests must follow reasonable safety instructions provided by the captain, crew, yacht operator, and authorised activity providers.
Marine activities involve inherent risks, and conditions may change during a charter. Safety decisions will always take priority over itinerary preferences, activities, or customer requests.
By joining a yacht charter, join trip, experience, or marine activity arranged through Yacht Today Thailand, guests acknowledge and agree to comply with this Safety Policy.
1. Captain's Safety Authority
The captain has final operational authority onboard the yacht and is responsible for decisions relating to safe navigation and operation.

The captain may, where reasonably necessary for safety:

- Delay departure
- Return to the marina
- Restrict access to certain areas of the yacht
- Stop swimming or water activities

Safety information may include:
- Location of life jackets
- Emergency equipment

- Swimming procedures
- Water activity rules

The captain or crew may require a guest to wear a life jacket depending on factors including:

Where alcohol is permitted onboard, guests must consume it responsibly.
The captain, crew, or activity provider may restrict a guest from swimming, operating equipment, or participating in water activities where intoxication creates a safety risk.

Illegal drugs and prohibited substances are not permitted onboard.
Guests must not possess, use, distribute, or attempt to bring illegal drugs or other unlawful substances onto the yacht.

A destination requested or confirmed before departure may become unsuitable because of weather, waves, currents, marine traffic, restrictions, or other safety considerations.
The captain has final authority regarding the route and safe navigation of the yacht.

A reasonable route change made for safety reasons does not automatically entitle the customer to a refund.

Guests should inform Yacht Today Thailand and/or the crew before departure of any medical condition, mobility limitation, allergy, pregnancy-related consideration, or other circumstance that may reasonably require assistance or affect safe participation.
Providing this information does not guarantee that every activity will be suitable.
The captain or activity provider may restrict participation where reasonably necessary for safety.
17. Medication
Guests who require personal medication should bring sufficient medication for the duration of the charter and keep it accessible where appropriate.
Guests are responsible for managing their own prescribed medication unless specific assistance has been expressly arranged.

Guests should follow instructions relating to marine animals and environmental protection.
Wild animals can behave unpredictably, and guests should maintain an appropriate distance where instructed.
22. Yacht Equipment
Guests must not operate or interfere with navigation systems, engines, controls, safety equipment, electrical systems, anchoring equipment, or other technical yacht equipment unless expressly authorised.

Damage caused by intentional misuse, negligence, or failure to follow reasonable instructions may result in the booking customer being responsible for reasonable repair or replacement costs.
23. Guest Capacity
The number of guests must not exceed the permitted capacity of the yacht.
Yacht Today Thailand and/or the yacht operator may refuse additional guests where yacht capacity, insurance requirements, or safety regulations would be exceeded.

- Other circumstances presenting a significant safety risk
Where boarding is refused because of serious misconduct or violation of safety requirements by the customer or their group, payments are non-refundable.
25. Termination of Charter for Safety Reasons
The captain may terminate a charter where continuing would create a significant safety risk.
Where termination results from serious guest misconduct, dangerous behaviour, illegal activity, or repeated refusal to follow safety instructions, the customer is not entitled to a refund for unused charter time.
Weather-related or operational safety situations will be handled in accordance with our Weather Policy and other applicable booking policies.
26. Accident Insurance
Certain eligible yacht charters may include accident insurance.
Insurance coverage is subject to the applicable insurance policy, eligibility requirements, coverage limits, conditions, and exclusions.
The existence of accident insurance does not remove the responsibility of guests to follow safety instructions or take reasonable care.
Insurance does not guarantee that every accident, activity, injury, medical expense, or loss will be covered.
Please refer to our Accident Insurance information.
27. Third-Party Activity Providers
Some activities or services may be provided by independent third-party providers.
These providers may impose their own safety requirements and participation conditions.
Guests must follow reasonable safety instructions provided by authorised third-party activity providers.
The provider may refuse or stop participation where safety requirements are not met.
28. Safety-Related Activity Restrictions and Refunds
A yacht charter may continue even when a specific activity cannot safely be provided.
For example, swimming, snorkelling, water toys, or another activity may need to be suspended because of sea conditions while the yacht itself can continue operating safely.
A safety-related restriction on a particular activity does not automatically entitle the customer to a full or partial refund.
Any exceptional arrangement will be considered in accordance with the applicable booking conditions and law.
29. Responsibility of the Booking Customer
The person making the booking is responsible for communicating relevant safety information and requirements to members of their group.
The booking customer should ensure that guests understand that:
